The League of Women Voters of the Lewisburg Area’s Educational Forum series continues with a virtual talk by Dr. Jennifer Polinchock-Baugh, Superintendent of Schools, Lewisburg Area School District. Dr. Polinchock-Baugh will give a school districtupdate and share some of the challenges for school leaders during the pandemic. The focus of the talk will be broad, providing the Superintendent of Schools the opportunity to bring her priority issues to us for consideration and allowing attendees to directly inquire about issues that interest them.  

Jennifer Polinchock-Baugh, Doctor of Education, joined the LASD in the summer of 2020, coming to the area from Southeastern Pennsylvania. She began her career as a high school English teacher and moved into various roles in administration. She attended La Salle University for her undergraduate degree and the University of Pennsylvania, Delaware Valley University, and Lehigh University for graduate degrees. She professes with certainty that “Learning is an on-going and lifelong process.” 

Jen wrote to us that “Despite the constant dark cloud of COVID, we have to continue to focus on teaching and learning with a greater emphasis on social and emotional learning. We also have to attend to the needs of our staff who are simply tired.”   

The meeting is open to members and the general public. League membership is not required to participate in these programs and all are welcome. The Zoom meeting room will open at 11:30 a.m.  The program will be followed by optional small group discussion immediately following the formal presentation.
