The LWVLA’s Educational Forum series continues with a presentation by Greg Krohn, Emeriti Professor of Economics, Bucknell University. Professor Krohn's talk, “Inflation: Causes, Consequences and Cures” will describe how the pandemic, monetary policy, fiscal policies, and the war in Ukraine are affecting inflation. He’ll also discuss how inflation affects incomes, interest rates, and other parts of the economy.
League members and the general public are invited to attend in person or virtually observe the talk via Zoom. The meeting is open to members and the general public. League membership is not required to participate in these programs and all are welcome.
The meeting will be held as a hybrid meeting (in person or virtual) on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 12 o’clock noon, at La Primavera Restaurant, 2593 Old Turnpike Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837 and virtually on the Zoom meeting platform. A $15.50 buffet lunch will be served beginning at 11:30. The program will begin at noon. No reservation is needed for the in-person lunch.
For those who cannot attend in person, a virtual option will allow them to observe the meeting. The Zoom meeting room will open at 11:30 a.m. Pre registered individuals are encouraged to sign into the virtual meeting room no later than 11:45 to ensure they are admitted and their settings are correct. Virtual participants will be able to submit questions in the chat function, but will be muted and unable to interact
directly with others. Those wishing to participate virtually, i.e. via Zoom, must send an indication of their plans to attend remotely, equesting a link to the meeting, by emailing LWVLAForum [at] gmail.com no later than Sunday, November 13.
The meeting will be recorded and promptly posted after the event on the League website.
