The League of Women of Women Voters of Lewisburg Area Educational Forum series presents a Special Current Issue talk on December 8, 2023, by Thom Travis, “Understanding the Israel-Hamas Conflict”.
 
League members and the general public are invited to attend the presentation. There is no cost for this event.  
 
Thom Travis is Emeritus Professor of International Relations and Political Science at Bucknell University.  He taught at Bucknell for 32 years.  He founded the international relations program and chaired it for 26 years.  He received three teaching awards from the university.  He authored numerous articles, a book on the roles of India and Pakistan in the world system, and a widely read monograph proposing a solution of the Arab-Israeli conflict published by the Stanley Foundation.  He has regularly taught a course in American Foreign Policy for the Bucknell Institute of Lifelong Learning since 2011.  Thom is an avid world traveler, having visited 112 countries.
