March Sessions with Southside Community Center

Our League has joined with the Southside Community Center to sponsor several sessions on the Importance of Voting. Both new and experienced voters have questions the League has answers. Sessions will take place on March 24, 25, and 26th as we celebrate Women’s History Month.

Seminars will provide the opportunity to delve into election topics. We will dymystify voting answering questions for a variety of audiences including SCC members, high school students, and young professionals. Register for the Zoom sessions below.

Thursday, March 24, 5:00-6:30pm  (This session is Zoom only)  Pre-register for this event 

Come together with High School students to talk about the importance of voting -- with tips on registration, getting information, and even knowing something about the history of women's suffrage -- perfect for Women's History Month.  LWVSpokane Area is teaming up with the Southside Community Center for this opportunity for high school students to chat with League members.

 Did you know that 16- and 17-year olds can register now to vote --- and then you are all set once you turn 18.  Be ready!  Be a Voter!
 

Session 2 - Friday, March 25, 11:00 am
Importance of Voting Seminar for Southside Community Center members to answer more questions and examine ways to encourage the young people in their lives to vote.
