Join or Renew

 Joining the League is a great way to play an active role in your community and in our democracy! Everyone is welcome - membership in the League of Women Voters is open to anyone 16 years or older. 

When you join the League of Women Voters of the Spokane Area, you are also joining the national, state and local Leagues. Eighty percent of your dues payment will go to LWVUS and LWV Washington, and twenty percent will go to our league LWVSA.    This is less than last year so we hope that you might consider donating $10.00 directly to our league using the Donate button below

Membership Dues:

  • Individual members: $75 per year is the recommended amount, or pay what you can ($20 minimum).
  • You can add a second member ($150 total for both recommended, $40 for both minimum), but they each will need to provide a unique email address.
  • Life members: In appreciation of their dedication to democracy, Life Members (members for more than 50 years) are exempt from membership dues.

Making Dues Payments

  • Direct bank transfer (ACH transfer), which minimizes fees. You’ll need your financial institution's routing number and your account number.
  • Pay by credit or debit card.
  • Pay Dues by Check has instructions. 
  • You will receive an online confirmation and an email receipt for your payment.
    Note: ONLY donations to our Education Fund are tax-deductible. 
  • Your membership dues payment will show up as three transactions on your account — one each to LWVSA, LWVWA, and LWVUS. You’ll be a member of all three!
  • Select auto-renewal when you are paying your dues and your membership will be automatically renewed next year.

Consider making an extra $10 donation to our LWV Spokane Area chapter.  
  • You can donate directly to LWV Spokane from our Donate page or to the Washington League's Educational Fund.

Renewing Your Membership

You will receive an email reminder to renew one year after your last renewal, with a link to renew  link. 
If you have signed up for auto-renew, you will get a reminder that your membership is automatically renewing.

Accessing the LWV Member Portal

To update your contact information or view your past payments, go to the  LWV Member Portal. 

To log in to the portal:
  • Enter the email address associated with your membership. 
  • You will be sent an email with a verification code to enter the code into the form. (You do not need a password.)
