League Action: Past, Present and Future

For this meeting we will review past local and state action, status of the current legislative process, and a budding opportunity for the future. Alison McCaffree, LWVWA Redistricting Issue Chair, will present on a new effort to be Bold for Redistricting Reform.
LWV defines action: Promoting the League’s positions on local, state, and national public policy issues to government officials, the media, and the public.
All action is based on the positions in:
- Impact on Issues (LWVUS),
- Program in Action (LWVWA)
- Positions on Public Policy
- LWVUS has a Lobby Corps that works in Congress. Often all members will receive Action Alerts from LWVUS to write to our Senators and Representative.
- LWVWA has a presence in Olympia – and as members of LWVSA --- you are a state member as well. Your Lobby Team works to provide information to you.
- LWVSA has taken action in the Spokane community over the 75 years of our existen
