LWV Spokane's Redistricting Committee

The Spokane Area Redistricting Committee works in support of  LWV Washington's redistricting reform plan  The goal is to insure that Washingtonians have stable representation that protects the voices of all voters. 

Actions

• Our Spokane Redistricting Committee works with LWV Washington to implement redistricting reforms in our state

•  A Task Force will propose reforms for Washington’s redistricting commission to expand representation and strengthens transparency, accountability, access, and citizen engagement.

 Goals for 2026/27

• Create and publish model legislation for a new People First Redistricting Commission for Washington. 

• Create and get support for a Redistricting Accountability Bill - advocate for the reform bill in the 2027 legislative session.
