The Social Policy Committee was formed in the spring of 2019 and hit the ground running. Committee members study relevant social issues and pending social policy legislation, and they provide information to the public about these matters. All interested League members are invited to join! Your input and expertise are needed.  Meeting and contact information can be found at the bottom of this page.

This committee is a result of member interest in exploring topics of concern to Sussex County and those related to the positions of the League of Women Voters. In addition to regular committee meetings, they develop or sponsor public forums and League gatherings. Current topics include: 

• Homelessness and Affordable Housing
• Health Care Access and Availability
• Early Childhood Education and the Child Care Crisis
