The LWVVC Board of Directors held their yearly planning retreat on July 17. Under the leadership of our new president, Mary Anne Connors, the board approved the president's recommendation for 5 appointed board members who will serve a one year term. The newly appointed directors are Pat Drago (Education),Judy Gordon (Membership), Nancy Nusbaum (Voter Service), Vickie Presley (Social Justice), and Ann Smith (Parliamentarian). The agenda also included the setting of 2021-22 goals; planning the program calendar; and brainstorming ideas for fundraising and community outreach. Goals for the 2021-22 year are:

1. Educate, motivate, and empower citizens for the upcoming elections.

2. Listen to under-represented groups and educate ourselved and our community on historic and ongoing systemic racism.

3.Promote collaboration and build positive relationships with diverse groups.

4. Educate and advocate in the areas of election integrity, public educations, social justice, natural resources, and strong representatie government.
