The US Mint is celebrating amazing women over a four year period with commemorative quarters. Starting in 2022 and continuing until 2025, five women have been selected for the coins each year.
The women honored on the reverse side of each coin issued under the American Women Quarters ™ Program represent contributions to the United States in a wide spectrum of fields.
The League of Women Voters of Volusia County Speakers Bureau will be sharing the inspiring stories of the women selected for the 2024 coins: Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray, Patsy Takemoto Mink, Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, Celia Cruz and Zitkala-Sa. We hope you can join us as we discuss this amazing, inspiring, diverse group of women.
