HJ58 and HJ59 passed in the House of Representatives now the Senate needs to bring it up for a vote during this legislative session. The prosperous Black community of Greenwood in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was known as the "Negro Wall Street of America." Resentful of the success achieved by descendants of formerly enslaved Black people, along with allegations that a Black man had assaulted a white woman, Greenwood was violently eradicated physically and historically.
