We showed you the basics of how to discover your roots in February. Now as promised, the League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County presents Discover Your Roots Part II on Thursday, June 17 at 2 p.m. via Zoom as a closer look at how to use the features of the two most popular programs, Ancestry and Family Tree Maker, to research and document your family history. 

League members Olivia Thorne and Jodine Mayberry will show you how to use the numerous features of Ancestry to find, collect, and document family information and how to use Family Tree Maker to create trees and genealogy books using the photographs, family stories and memorabilia you've collected. 

Olivia and Jodine, both long-time members of the League of Women Voters of Central Delaware, each have more than 25 years’ experience researching their family trees. Let them show you how to discover your roots and share your family history with future generations.

They'll also allow for a longer question and answer period in this second program to try to answer your specific questions about genealogical research as you delve deeper into this fascinating hobby. 

A donation of $10 is requested to support League operations, to help fund Vote411 and monthly licensing for Zoom. Entire proceeds will go to LWV-CDC to help fund the cost of these services.
