The Brennan Center for Justice, a nonpartisan law and policy Institute, is offering a FREE virtual event on Tuesday, August 19, at 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET with experts, advocates, and legislators on the topic The Past, Present, and Future of the Voting Rights Act. They will explore the history of the Voting Rights Act, its impact on voters today, and what it will take to ensure fair representation for all.

An information session Behind the Ballot Fireside Chat: PA Supreme Court Retention Elections is being held on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Those that register can choose either to attend in-person (Central High School, Philadelphia) or virtual.

The main sponsors are the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvanias for Modern Courts, and the Committee of Seventy.

The International Relations Study Group of the League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County has been active for years studying different countries meeting monthly on the second Tuesday at 12:30 pm. To generate discussion the group uses the Great Decisions Briefing Book resources put out by the Foreign Policy Association.

This month on September 9, 2025 the discussion will be a review of Chapter 6 The Future of NATO and European Security.
