Black History Month Celebration: Courage, Purpose, Resilience

The League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania is hosting this February a FREE webinar to celebrate Black History Month. The webinar is scheduled for Monday, February 27, 2023 at 6:00 PM via Zoom. This webinar features stories of Black American women speaking of Courage, Purpose and ResilienceThey belong centered in our consciousness. 

We feature a discussion with those who led the way to forge freedom, and speak with leaders continuing the struggle for equity and inclusion today. We will discuss the life and work of Dr. Dorothy Height, civil rights activist and past National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) President for over 40 years. Dr. Height was known for wearing many colorful hats. All are welcome to join and wear their favorite hat to honor this inspiring national leader.
