On Friday, October 13, Pat Drago, Ann Smith and Nancy Nusbaum attended a round table for the “Power of the Ballot” event at the Midtown Café in Daytona   During the event, black women leaders spoke passionately about the suppression of black history in the schools, access to voting, and resources in the community .  LWVVC Voter Service Chair, Nancy Nusbaum served as a member of the panel. The News Journal covered the event in an article on October 14 including a video of Cynthia Slater, President, Volusia NAACP, in the paper’s  online edition.
