The League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County (LWVCDC) and the League of Women Voters of Radnor Township (LWVRadnor) are holding a MEMBERS ONLY in-person event to meet with our US House of Representative Mary Gay Scanlon on Saturday, April 26 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County 145 W. Rose Tree Road, Media, PA 19063.
US House of Representative Mary Gay Scanlon represents Pennsylvania's fifth congressional district which encompasses all of Delaware County, an exclave of Chester County, a small portion of southern Montgomery County and a section of southern Philadelphia.
This is OUR exclusive chance to ask her about and hear her views on so many of the issues that are roiling the country right now -- voters rights, DEI, immigration, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, government services, climate change and the environment, healthcare, scientific research, the economy, foreign affairs, Ukraine.
The format for this meeting is Question and Answer so as part of the online registration process we are asking members to share their questions when they register. Because our time with the Congresswomen is limited, submitted questions will be reviewed for duplication and given priority. Deadline for submitting questions as part of registration is Thursday April 24.
This is a FREE Members ONLY event but we are asking attendees to bring non-perishable food and personal care items to be donated to the Media Food bank. These can include peanut butter, rice, pasta and sauces, shelf-stable milk, mac and cheese, spices, canned fruit and vegetables, diapers (adult and baby), pads, toothpaste and toothbrushes, soaps, deodorant.
