Visit us at the 37th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Birthday Commemoration Sunday, January 19, 2026 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the First Church Media 350 W State Street, Media PA. The Commemoration will be followed by a community dinner and our League of Women Voters will have a voter information table.

The Commemoration organized by the NAACP Media Area Branch and the Media Fellowship House is held in tribute to Dr. King's enduring legacy and his unwavering commitment to a world free of injustice.

The program focuses on Our Rights, Our Responsibility: Protecting the Promise of the Constitution with a keynote address offered by Vince Stango, Executive Vice President and COO of the National Constitution Center.

The occasion will highlight the induction of remarkable community heroes into the MLK Spirit Hall of Fame, recognizing their outstanding contributions to uplifting constitutional rights.

This year’s Spirit Hall of Fame inductees include:

Centro De Apoyo Comunitario, recognized for its commitment to promoting the well-being and rights of immigrant communities.
Martha Hickson, along with young adult advocates Miranda and Mitchell, honored for their leadership in advancing the Freedom to Read Act (2024) in New Jersey.
