Delco Indivisible and HCAN will be holding a Peace Keeper Training on Sunday, March 22; 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County, 145 W Rose Tree Rd, Media PA. The event will feature Gene Sharp Training on de-escalation.

This event is offered in preparation for participating in No Kings events which are forecasted to be the largest non-violent protest in U.S. History. Gene Sharp's approach to nonviolent escalation, or "political jiu-jitsu," trains movements to use strategic, graduated noncooperation to shift the balance of power.

Escalation involves moving from education to confrontational actions, such as protests, strikes, and civil disobedience, targeting the adversary's pillars of support to induce obedience withdrawal.

Members of No Kings partner organizations are welcome to participate.

In conjunction with the training, event organizers are asking for volunteers to be Peace Keepers at the No Kings March 28th March and Rally in Media PA.
