Greetings from your State Board! I certainly hope everyone is staying safe during this pandemic and the heat of our summer. Your State Board is still working on designing things virtually for you to participate in.
Like all of you, we are diligently working toward the elections. Our lawsuits are continuing, and information is being distributed by our VP, Dr. Marian Lewin, about voting issues. She is constantly keeping our leagues up to date on voting concerns. We want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to VOTE and vote safely!
Your State Board conducted our virtual retreat this past weekend. Planning for the next year is crucial and very important. We are here to support you in your endeavors. Don't forget to let us know what you need and how we can help.
One thing I need you to do is to make sure you have a correct email for me: nicholas [at] lwvnc.org (). There is an old email address floating around from previous years – make sure you delete that one in your contacts. It was lwvncpresident [at] gmail.com. That one is not used anymore. Please check your records.
I look forward to working with all of your new Boards and the programs you have planned for the upcoming year. I wish you much success with all of your endeavors. We must work together for everyone. We are making democracy work for all!
