League members from across North Carolina are invited to join us for LWVNC’s 2026 Council in Durham on May 1–2. Council is an opportunity to reconnect, learn from one another, and renew our energy for the important work ahead.

The gathering will begin with a Friday evening reception (5–7 p.m.) at the Durham Marriott, where members can connect with League colleagues from around the state and hear welcome remarks from LWVNC President Jennifer McMillan Rubin.

Saturday’s program will include a full day of learning, discussion, and collaboration. Highlights include:

• Updates and insights from League leaders and partners

• A session on using AI tools to support League work

• A governance presentation from nonprofit expert Melissa LeRoy

• A fireside conversation with LWVUS President Dianna Wynn

• A presentation from Karen Brinson Bell, former Executive Director of the NC State Board of Elections and Co-Founder of Advance Elections

• A preview of the 2026 Election Toolkit and voter engagement resources

Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Saturday.
