An in-person presentation titled How To Citizen: Voting is scheduled for Monday, April 13, 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lansdowne Public Library, 55 S Lansdowne Ave., Lansdowne PA 19050.

How To Citizen is a program series for teaching civic skills everyone should know. The first session will be about voting.

International Relations

The International Relations Study Group of the League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County has been active for years studying different countries meeting monthly on the second Tuesday at 12:30 pm. To generate discussion the group uses the Great Decisions Briefing Book resources put out by the Foreign Policy Association.

On April 10, 2026 the discussion will be a review of Chapter 2 of 2026 Great Decisions titled The End of an Era: Trump Tariffs in Historical Perspective.

Join the LWVPA and Fair Election Center for a webinar and Q & A on “Voting Rights at Risk: Durational Citizenship in Pennsylvania.” The webinar on Zoom is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A little-known Pennsylvania law may block newly naturalized citizens from voting in the May 19 primary. Anyone who naturalizes on or after April 20 could be affected.

SAVE ACT
Public Statement

A fundamental constitutional right is threatened by a call for unneeded new paperwork in elections.

This week, lawmakers in Congress renewed their push to pass the SAVE Act, rebranding it as the “SAVE America Act.” Wednesday night, this bill passed the House and will move on to the Senate.

Although this legislation’s title suggests safeguarding Americans and ensuring election security, its actual impact would be catastrophic.
