Time Range For Action Alert:
August 15, 2020 to November 6, 2020
Please call or email your U.S. senators and tell them to vote for the bill to provide $25 billion in the next coronavirus package to shore up the U.S. Postal Service and to do whatever they can to stop the postmaster general from slowing mail delivery in this crucial election year.
"The Postal Service gave 40 states — including the key battleground states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Florida — more-serious warnings that their long-standing deadlines for requesting, returning or counting ballots were “incongruous” with mail service and that voters who send ballots in close to those deadlines may become disenfranchised." – Washington Post article, Aug. 14.
If you have applied for a mail-in or absentee ballot, fill it out and return it as soon as possible. The Delaware County Election Bureau has said it will begin mailing out ballots in mid-September.
