Kathy Cook, the environmental chair for the Pennsylvania and Central Delaware County Leagues of Women Voters has the following letter to the editor published in the Oct. 29 online edition of the Delaware County Daily Times.

In a triumph for PA voters, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has ruled that Act 77, the legislation that brought voting by mail, also known as "no-excuse" absentee voting, to Pennsylvania, is constitutional and will apply to voters this election season.

The PA Legislature has recessed until September after passing a constitutional amendments package that would dramatically shift the balance of power and call multiple rights into question, including the right to abortion healthcare.

According to an initial draft Supreme Court majority opinion obtained by POLITICO, the Supreme Court has voted to strike down Roe v. Wade. The court’s decision will not be final until it is published, likely in the next two months.
