The 5th Annual Delaware County Sustainability Conference to be held on Friday, March 13th, 2026, at Swarthmore College in partnership with the Office of Sustainability at Swarthmore College. Topics will include grassroots sustainability success, data centers, zero waste community action.
The Conference Keynote presentation will feature Steve Ward, Project Manager at Scranton Tomorrow, a Scranton-based nonprofit and community organization with the mission of engaging residents in projects which foster pride in and beautify the City of Scranton. Steve’s work touches on many focus areas of Delaware County’s Sustainability Plan at once, such as health and wellness, zero waste, natural resources, and climate resiliency.
Following the Keynote, a Plenary session will be held on the emerging but contentious topic of data centers, including their growth and impacts on the renewable energy market, the planet, and affordability.
The League of Women Voters of Delaware County Environment Committee will participate as a community partner and feature information on the Delaware County Clearinghouse envirodelco.org and voter information.
NOTE: Because the in-person maxim capacity has been reached, registration is now closed BUT all who were unable to register for the in-person event can view our livestream of the morning sessions of the conference. Links will be posted in the near future on the Conference Webpage.
