League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County will be holding our third Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) postcard writing event on Saturday, October 10 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Ridley Township Public Library, 100 E MacDade Blvd, Folsom PA 19033. 

Looking for a way to make a difference in the upcoming election, consider volunteering for a postcard writing campaign. It's a great way to get involved, meet new people, and make a difference. Postcard writing campaigns are used as an effective tool for voter engagement and offer a social way to get involved in helping to get-out-the-vote plus encourage voter registration.

So why do postcard writing campaigns? *

• They are personal. A handwritten postcard is more likely to be read and remembered than a boilerplate piece of mail from a political party or candidate. 
• Postcard writing campaigns allow volunteers to have a direct impact on the election in their own community. 
• Postcard campaigns inspire a sense of duty and impact.
• In a democracy, all eligible voters must have the opportunity to participate in the election. Postcard writing campaigns help to make this possible.
• When volunteers come together to write postcards, they are working towards a common goal, inspiring a sense of camaraderie and belonging. 
• But they are also flexible and can be written at home.

• They’re introvert-proof. No knocking on doors required!
