He will share how health insurers became Wall Street giants — devouring the health care system and reshaping Washington in the process. And why there is hope for something better.

In 2025, he co-led production of The Sunlight Report on UnitedHealth Group, a first-of-its-kind analysis mapping nearly 2,700 acquisitions and subsidiaries behind the largest health care conglomerate in the world. This year, he helped produce the Health Insurance Influence Tracker, the first campaign contribution tracker focused on the health insurance lobby.
