Our Holiday Gathering: Celebration of Our League is being held as an in-person event on Saturday, December 11 at the Springhaven Club 600 S Providence Rd, Wallingford. After a century of voting, how does our LWV ensure our voting voice?

Our plan is to celebrate the work and the mission of the League of Women Voters. Our foremothers led the fight in 1920 for the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which states - "The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex".

One hundred plus years later the League mission continues to Empower Voters and Defend Democracy. 

Celebration Details:

Celebration Time: Beginning at 11:30 AM with lunch served at Noon in the Large Dining Room which allows for social distancing while enjoying our luncheon celebration. 

Presentation: “The Journey for Equal Rights for Women” presented by Laurie J. Grant, Executive Director, Delaware County Historical Society. 

Menu Options: Chicken Piccata, Honey Glazed Salmon or Pasta Primavera (Vegetarian) 

Cost: $35.00 per meal

NOTE: a reservation must be made in advance using the registration form or contacting the event coordinator even if payment is at the door by check or cash so the venue has an accurate meal count.
