Join us for a virtual event Summertime Screen Time: Strategies for Parents to Help Keep Their Children Healthy and Safe on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM via Zoom.

Research shows that recreational technology use among youth increases during the summertime. Recent articles contend that the mental health of children may be affected by excess screen time. Still many parents and caregivers are confused about how to limit the amount of time children spend on digital devices and how to channel screen time to constructive, safe sites.

The League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County, along with other Leagues from southeastern Pennsylvania, is sponsoring a presentation by Jennifer Ehehalt of Common Sense Media and Dr. Scott Hand, Director of Technology Innovation & Instructional Design in the Radnor Township School District. They will provide concrete strategies that work, explore available resources and take your questions about successfully limiting Summertime Screen Time.

Event highlights:

  • Hear from instructional technology experts and school leaders
  • Discuss what works with other parents
  • Explore available resources

The virtual event is FREE but to receive the Zoom link via email you MUST Register. You can submit questions for the presenters in advance with your registration.
