The League of Women Voters of Delaware County will have a voter information and environmental resources exhibit table on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:15 PM at the Delaware County Sustainability Conference being held at the Lazaretto Ballroom 99 Wanamaker Ave, Essington, PA 19029
The Delaware County Office of Sustainability will be hosting the 4th Annual Delaware County Sustainability Conference the week of June 9th – 14th, 2025, as a hybrid event in response to the evolving needs of our community.
This week-long event will kick off with a host of virtual sessions throughout the week of June 9th – June 13th. Topics will be centered around the County’s six sustainability focus areas of natural resources, energy and efficiencies, transportation, zero waste, climate resiliency and health and wellness, while also touching on emerging trends in sustainability. The Conference will conclude with an engaging Keynote presentation, from local celebrity and beloved meteorologist, Glenn “the Hurricane” Schwartz, followed by an exposition of local organizations, businesses, and sustainability heroes for networking and collaboration.
The Keynote Presentation and a free continental breakfast will be taking place at the Lazaretto Ballroom, followed by networking and exploration in the historic Lazaretto Quarantine Building in Tinicum Township. Participants can expect to be exposed to a wealth of knowledge and left with actionable tools to implement sustainable practices in their everyday lives, as well as plenty of opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and organizations.
