A webinar titled Notice & Cure in Pennsylvania: New Findings and What They Mean is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM via Zoom. Speakers from ACLU-PA and Common Cause-PA will share information on their recent report on Notice & Cure in PA concerning mail-in ballots.
Notice and cure is an election administration practice related to voting by mail. When a voter casts a mail-in ballot, they may make a mistake like forgetting to sign the outer envelope or forgetting to put their ballot in the secrecy envelope. When that happens, counties can notify the voter of the mistake and allow them to fix or “cure” it.
This presentation will explore how notice and cure policies impact voters whose mail ballots are at risk of rejection, highlight key findings from their recent report, and discuss what these insights mean for election administration and voter access across the Commonwealth.
