
The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin Celebrates Staff Promotions as Eileen Newcomer and Delany Zimmer Step into New Leadership Roles
Madison, WI – The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin (LWVWI) is proud to announce the promotions of Eileen Newcomer and Delany Zimmer, two dedicated professionals whose unwavering commitment to democracy has significantly advanced our mission.
Eileen Newcomer, formerly the Voter Education Manager, has been appointed Deputy Director of LWVWI. With over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector and seven years with LWVWI, Eileen has been instrumental in managing our nationally recognized election observation program, production of our statewide Vote411 voter guide, and supporting local Leagues in their voter service work. Her leadership and expertise have been pivotal in enhancing voter education efforts and language access for voters across the state.
Delany Zimmer, who has served as the Voter Services Coordinator, has been promoted to Voter Services Manager. Delany is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Political Science and she is committed to advocating for voter’s rights. She has managed poll worker recruitment and worked diligently to combat misinformation and disinformation regarding elections in Wisconsin. Her passion for civic engagement and public policy will continue to drive LWVWI's voter education initiatives.
Both Eileen and Delany have demonstrated exceptional efforts towards empowering voters and defending democracy. Their hard work and leadership have strengthened LWVWI's ongoing work to ensure fair and accessible elections for all Wisconsinites.
