Join the League of Women Voters of Beloit and Senior Scientist Steve Vavrus from the Nelson Institute Center for Climatic Research at UW-Madison in the beginning of a series on climate change.
In a talk titled “Together in Beloit: Dealing with Climate Change Globally to Locally,” Vavrus will begin by reviewing the history of human-induced climate change and will offer examples of its manifestations and impacts as well as responses at personal and policy levels.
This is the first of three lectures discussing climate change being presented by Beloit Public Library, in partnership with the Beloit League of Women Voters and Welty Environmental Center. Each event will be live-streamed via Facebook Live and include a 30- to 40-minute talk followed by audience Q&A.
More information is available on the Facebook event page, where you can find the live-streamed event on the day of the event.
