Join the League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County for the first event of its "Lunch and Learn" series, part of a celebration around Women's History Month. This first event will feature Bridget Johnson, J.D., a community leader and author.
Bridget Robinson has served as a human resource professional for more than 15 years. Her passion for writing and poetry led to the release of her 2019 novel, If I Should Die Before I Wake, a pseudo-biographic tale of her life as a teenage mother growing up and surviving childhood in the 53206-zip code. Her story chronicles her experience as a black girl attending Milwaukee Public Schools, the trauma of living in poverty and the rise from generational dysfunction. Bridget is the chief human resource strategist for QB Solutions, a human resources consulting firm and the co-founder of BlankSpaceMke, a network of creatives that utilize art as a platform for activism.
