A New League Begins to Form in Marathon County

A group in Wausau, headed by Kay Palmer, is making strides toward becoming a formally recognized local League. Within 6 months, they’ve gathered over 10 dues-paying members and have held 2 community conversations featuring respected voices in the Marathon County area. Impressively, they will also have a booth at the County Fair and be in the Wausau Labor Day Parade in addition to continuing efforts to appear at Farmer’s Markets through the end of summer. But they aren’t stopping there! On the docket for fall is a book discussion focused on environmental literature.
