The Connecticut Sun is hosting a Title IX panel and networking event in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Title IX. The event will begin with 1 hour of networking followed by a panel discussion featuring moderator Clare Marash, and guest speakers Ann McAllister, Carol Stiff, and Karen Issokson-Silver. Admission to the panel costs $50 and includes a free drink voucher, ticket to the CT Sun vs. NY Liberty game following the panel, and a free ticket to the Basketball Hall of Fame. Gather on the lawn for Mark Twain Library’s 2nd Annual Juneteenth Day featuring Poetry, Justice & Jazz. Mark the day with discussions, jazz classics and selected poetry readings. Moderated by Tom Kilbourn, Episcopal priest and retired Joel Barlow High School English teacher. Registration recommended, but not required. Walk-ins welcome.This program will take place outside under the Library’s tent, rain or shine. This discussion is part of the Conversations Series which was created in partnership by the Redding League of Women Voters and the Mark Twain Library in an effort to offer our community the opportunity to continue the conversation on race.
