League members are encouraged to join LWVUS on September 3rd in Washington, DC, from 3 to 4 pm, to bring together League members and members of Congress and their staff to discuss the collective work to be done in support of Cultivating Champions for Democracy. At this event in the Capitol Visitor Center, we will hear from members of Congress speaking about their office’s commitment to preserving and strengthening our democracy. NOTE: The Capitol Visitor Center, the main entrance to the U.S. Capitol, is located beneath the East Front plaza of the U.S. Capitol at First Street and East Capitol Street.
