The League of Women Voters of Sussex County, DE, Inc. (LWVSCDE), is a nonpartisan, grassroots, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. In keeping with our mission to empower voters and defend democracy, we encourage informed and active participation in government and influence public policy through education and advocacy.
- We envision an inclusive democracy where all Americans can see themselves represented in our government.
- We empower local voters through voter registration, candidate forums and debates, public education, the VOTE411 website, and advocating for free, fair and accessible voting systems.
- We advocate for positive change and foster civil dialogue about important community issues like development, transportation, the environment, and civil liberties.
- We monitor and report on local government, including the County Council and Planning and Zoning Commission.
- We bring members and the public together for education and socializing.
- We do not support or oppose any political party or candidate.
- We are not for Women Only!
