Now Accepting Applications for 4 awards of $1,000 each (LWVNCC 2026 Annual Scholarships flier shown)

The New Castle County League is now accepting applications for its annual scholarship program; 4 awards of $1,000 each. This scholarship is for NCC students, either graduating high school seniors or continuing college or vocational students, who submit an essay or video related to good citizenship and civic awareness.

Civil Rights Groups Urge the Supreme Court to Strike Down Trump’s Birthright Citizenship Executive Order

Public Statement

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The US Supreme Court should strike down President Trump’s executive order on birthright citizenship, according to an amicus brief filed by the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and Howard University School of Law’s Civil Rights Clinic on behalf of the NAACP, the League of Women Voters, Equal Justice Society, the National Urban League, and the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.
