Together, three former educators and members of the LWV's Civic Education Committee have created a “Candidates in the Classroom” project. As a final project, student journalists created video interviews of candidates for November 8 General Election. Interviews were conducted using the League’s non-partisan rules and later posted to the League website, as part of the organization’s mission to provide the community election information. Now there are new set of videos with candidates for the April 2023 Consolidated election.

Our League has many options to be in parades this summer in all the communities we serve, although before we commit, we need to know how many participants we'll have. We need at least 15 participants to have an impact.

Betty was the recipient of the Marget Hamilton Award in 2014 and was featured on Facebook during Women’s History Month this year.
