Delegates:  LWV ABC will have 6 delegates to the convention:  Kathy Aaneud, Sandy Connor, Pat Kennedy, Linda Rogers, Gretchen Sabel and Julie Trude. 

Observers:  There is no fee this year for observers since it is a virtual convention.  If you are interested in observing, please Register as an observer and send an email to lwvabc [at] gmail.com letting us know you have registered.  Observers will have view-only access via YouTube livestream to watch the Business and Plenary sessions on Friday & Saturday and full access to everything else, including Thursday June 10 workshops.  Some observers could get upgraded to delegate.

Workshops - Session 1 - 6:30 pm

      • Feminism in Black & White – Let’s Talk (Part 1) - Join us for this fabulous double-session that examines issues related to the suffrage movement, and new information about the origins of the Civil Rights movement. In addition, it deals with the struggle of Black Women and why the issues they face are amplified in our society. Limited to 25 people to allow us to have a richer discussion. This session will not be taped.
      • Membership Power Hour – Review new online member handbook, discuss best practices, share successes and answer questions. 
      • Advocacy Answers – Debrief State and National legislative sessions, update on voter suppression bills and redistricting, learning how to engage members in advocacy

Workshops – Session 2 - 7:30 pm

  • Feminism in Black & White – Let’s Talk (Part 2)
  • League Visibility and Marketing – Review and discuss best practice use of LWVUS and LWVMN communications and social media resources, and learn how to partner with organizations while still maintaining our nonpartisanship and growing into a more diverse, equitable and inclusive organization.
  • Working Intergenerationally to Take Action at the Local Level: Police Reform Efforts in Northfield - LWV Northfield-Cannon Falls will share the components of our work around policing as well as how to build trust and engagement in League across generations.

      • 8:00-11:30 AM – Convention business and plenary, part 2
      • 11:45 AM – Optional lunch roundtables
