Many of us have heard the term Micro-Aggression, but what is a Micro-Inequity? Join us for a game of Two Truths and a Lie: Micro-inequities. We’ll dive into the concept of Micro-messaging and learn what we can do to reduce Micro-inequities in our communities with the help of Maya Mason.
Maya Mason is a facility based Juvenile Probation Officer in Anoka County, MN. She has worked in the Criminal Justice Field for over ten years after completing her bachelor’s at the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in Legal Studies and a minor in Criminal Justice. Maya took over Diversity training at the Anoka County Juvenile Center nearly 4 years ago. She has developed a passion for training on these topics and strives to engage participants at a higher level than is often seen in diversity training.
