LWV Appleton Creates Voter Service Video Series
LWV Appleton recently published six professionally-produced videos on how to access VOTE411.org to obtain nonpartisan candidate information and how to use myvote.wi.gov to register to vote and apply for an absentee ballot. Each video is about one minute in length and narrated by someone in the Appleton community. The videos are excellent examples of clarity in messaging and are currently linked on the LWV Appleton website and all of their social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. LWV Appleton was one of four Wisconsin local Leagues to receive $500 in grant funding from LWVUS for inspiring projects like this. They added centennial funds from the Community Foundation for get-out-the-vote efforts in the Fox Valley Region market.
“We understood that with the struggles resulting from COVID-19, we needed to create a different approach to our voter advocacy," said Jeanne Roberts, LWV Appleton president. "We are grateful to our community for the collaborations that are helping to ensure a safe and fair election.”
