Luce (2019)
Well-off white couple, Amy and Peter, adopted Luce, a former Eritrean boy solder, at age seven. Now a teenager. Luce is a model student - popular, the captain of the debate, a star basketball player and is slated to be class valedictorian - but comes under suspicion after writing an essay about Pan-Africanist writer Frantz Fanon, who advocated violence to defeat colonization.
