Register to Vote

• The deadline to register to vote online or by mail is October 16. But don't worry if you missed that deadline – you have other options!
• You can register or update your address at your early voting location before November 3 or at your polling place on Election Day. If you plan to vote after registering, make sure you have a valid form of photo ID. 
• Make sure you have a proof of residence document for registration. Some examples of acceptable documents include: a paystub, bank statement, or a WI Driver License with your current name/address.

• Some races on the ballot include: US Senate, US House, State Senate, State Assembly, County Clerk and more
• Voters will have a constitutional amendment on their ballot and some may have other referendum questions.
• Visit MyVote.Wi.Gov to view your ballot.

Have an Absentee Ballot?

• Find instructions on completing your absentee ballot. Make sure you are thorough and double-check you followed all of the directions.
• Make a plan to return your absentee ballot in the mail at least one week prior to November 5.  
• Less than a week away from Election Day? It's too late to mail your ballot, but don't worry you have options! Return your own ballot to a drop box (check with your clerk if you don't know if your community is using drop boxes this fall), your clerk's office or clerk-designated return locations on Election Day (like your polling place or central count location for communities that use central count).
• Voters with a disability who need assistance may have someone return their absentee ballot other than their employer, agent of that employer, or officer or agent of their union. • Early voting (also called in-person absentee voting) starts October 22! Early voting is a great way to skip lines and vote when it's convenient for you.
