Greetings to my fellow Leaguers –
It is with a great heart that I make this my last newsletter to you. What a journey this has been for you and me. We have accomplished many things to help the people of North Carolina. Our job is not finished. I congratulate the new LWVNC Board and especially your new president, Jennifer Rubin. She will lead you with her heart and expertise in all the things that will be coming down the pike. I encourage you to give her your continued support and remember that the State Board works for you. Keep in touch with them and keep sending all of your outstanding events to the State so we can share your accomplishments.
Many things are coming at you during this next election. We must remember to cherish our nonpartisan policy in reaching out to the community. I strongly advise you to watch for groups that want to join with you but may be partisan. Don't give up your name too easily. Reach out and research the groups. Stay vigilant.
It has been a pleasure working for you during my tenure as your president. I have made many new friends around the state. I will be still involved in the League in some way because I truly believe in its mission. What a dynamic organization!
Keep in touch with one another. We can't do this by ourselves. Reach out and bolster one another.
Thanks again for your dedication and support!
In League,
Jo
