Welcome to the first edition of the LWVNC State Newsletter, which will arrive in your inboxes each quarter. You can also access this new quarterly newsletter via the LWVNC homepage. We will cover news from the LWVNC board of directors and help to highlight important statewide issues. Our goal will be to share information from a state organization perspective, highlight upcoming events, showcase the progress of our teams, and provide information and tools that will be useful to you. Our bimonthly newsletter will continue to highlight the fantastic work of our local Leagues, so please continue sending articles and photos of your good work. (The next one will be distributed on the first Friday in October.)
One of the strengths of the League is its grassroots structure. Your work at the local level is where the rubber meets the road. That’s the source of our strength. The state board is committed to providing tools, like this newsletter, to support your efforts. In addition, your state board is focused on broad statewide issues and legislation. And we will keep our members informed about developments that will affect North Carolinians and that fall within our priority areas. Stay tuned for more information, and please provide us with any feedback to help us improve our communications.
