In a new interview with NC Newsline, LWVNC President Jennifer Rubin speaks out against proposed policy changes—such as eliminating Sunday voting or name-change hurdles that trap voters in an endless loop of provisional ballots—that would put up more barriers to voting.
"Voting should be a nonpartisan exercise," says Rubin. The LWVNC sees these proposed changes as designed to intimidate and frustrate voters, and will continue to fight for elections that are fair, accessible, and free from partisanship.
