The League of Women Voters of North Carolina is launching a new College Civic Engagement Fellowship pilot program designed to expand nonpartisan voter engagement and civic education efforts on college campuses across the state.
Running from August 1 through November 20, 2026, the semester-long fellowship will place college students with participating local Leagues to support voter outreach, civic education, campus partnerships, and election engagement efforts during the 2026 election cycle.
Fellows will assist with activities such as voter registration drives, National Voter Registration Day events, student outreach, civic programming, and digital communications while gaining hands-on experience in civic engagement and public service.
Each participating League will receive $1,500 in program support, including a $1,200 stipend for the student fellow and additional funding to support outreach and program needs.
The fellowship is intended to help local Leagues strengthen relationships with colleges and universities, increase student voter participation, and help cultivate the next generation of civic leaders.
Leagues interested in participating should reach out to Regan Aduddell at aduddell [at] lwvnc.org.
