Greetings to my fellow Leaguers –
It is August, and we are planning for our upcoming elections. As you all know – and this can't be stressed enough – this is going to be a HUGE election, and we must all work hard to encourage everyone in our communities to vote. Their voices make a difference! Sadly, there are also groups trying to keep our citizens from voting; they will continue to spread disinformation that is intended to sow doubt about the validity of our elections.
If you have questions about addressing disinformation or election integrity, always steer your questions or concerns to your State Board. We are here for you! We are holding informational sessions on VOTE411, applying for grant monies for your League, working on DEI initiatives, and more! The movement has not stopped!
I encourage all of you to get involved with your Leagues and make the League visible in your communities. We are a strong organization that makes sure that all citizens have the information they need to cast informed ballots and we work to support safe and fair elections.
I hope you get to have a vacation to rest until you start up when election season begins again, and our fiscal year gets underway.

Mark your calendars for a training in the Greensboro area on Thursday, Oct 6 beginning around noon and lasting through the morning of Friday, Oct. 7 when we will travel down the road for the two events: The dedications of a monument recognizing our N.C. founder, Gertrude Weil, and a marker from the Pomeroy suffrage trail. The Piedmont Triad League has worked many hours to make this an eventful happening. You will leave inspired and dedicated to be a League member. We will prevail. Watch your inbox for updates on training sessions as well as information from your State Board.
