The same group that fought for ratification of the ERA in Virginia has come up with Vote Equality U.S. – a non-partisan, awareness-building campaign for ERA with links to candidates’ stances on the Equal Rights Amendment.

LWVNC is joining other lead organizations of ERA-NC Alliance in support of the Equality Tour. A decked-out RV (aka "The Notorious RVG - The Ruthless Vote Getter") will drive through unratified Southern states, covering 3,000 miles. North Carolina is the first stop: Rocky Mount in late September, then onward to many other Tar Heel cities.

RVG tour

Supporters will meet the RV at pre-arranged stops and share literature via QR code and handouts on election info and VOTE411. Vistors to the RV can sign their names on the vehicle, in support of equality. League members from LWVNC's ERA League Action Team will assist, along with members of AAUW, the Alliance, and NOW.

Our thanks to the RV's sponsors: NAACP and Center for Common Ground.
